Today, I had the pleasure of speaking with a young man who is one of the stars of the new Movie that we had featured on TeenCentral.Net, Flicka 2.   Reilly Dolman stars as Jake on the sequel to the movie Flicka.

Reilly lives in VanCouver, Canada and is probably one of the most open and friendly guys you would want to meet.  He started training to be an actor only 3 or 4 years ago and is thrilled to have been a part of the movie.  He shares the story of the first time he was on the set and Patrick Warburton, (Seinfeld, Family Guy, Rules of Engagement) walked on, introduced himself and shook his hand and they went back to work.  He says that several hours later he thought, “Wow that was Patrick Warburton.”   Reilly is very committed to be the best he can be and says he can’t let himself get star struck or it might affect his performance, so he works hard to give the best he has and bring Jake to life for all of us to enjoy.

When I asked Reilly how he got the part he said his agent called, he auditioned several days later and met the director.  The director, Michael Damian liked what he saw in Reilly and he was soon notified that he got the part.  If you have had the opportunity to watch the movie, you would agree that the director made the right choice.

This is Reilly’s first major film and he has found it to be exciting and fascinating.  He watches and learns about everything he can so that he can build upon his craft.   He has never been one to let anyone or anything hold him back.  He sets his eyes on what he wants to achieve and then goes for it.  He offers that same advice to anyone seeking to get into the entertainment field.  “If you want something, go for it.   Believe in yourself and make it happen.  Perseverance is the key to success, so don’t give up, keep building your talent and reach for what you want.  Its there if you believe in yourself.”

Reilly’s favorite actor is Sean Penn.  He finds him to be one of the most versatile actors around today but he tells me that there are so many talented people out there it is truly difficult to pick just a few.  He is honored and happy to be working among them all.

Once you watch the movie there is no doubt that you will be captivated by his down-to-earth character, terrific performance and become an instant fan.  Remember the name, Reilly Dolman.  I am sure we will see a lot more of him.
